Bryant Alsop Architecture was given a brief for this greenfield site home – warm and contemporary. We sourced local earth and constructed structural rammed earth walls which added natural warmth and sustainable design. The rammed earth grounded the Beechworth home into its landscape. The owners wanted rammed earth for its sustainability, passive solar benefits, thermal mass and geothermal heating/cooling.
