The Group worked with Greg Burgess Architects on the Mansfield Information Centre which sits as a gateway building to Victoria’s high country. Rammed earth forms part of the visual and construction design in linking the site to the region through texture, materials and history. Sitting beyond the Maroondah highway behind River Red Gums, the long curve of rammed earth showcases the surrounding landscape. The building materials of earth, stone and corrugated iron are reflective of the environment, history and industry of the area.
